Exchange programs for studying abroad

The TU/e finds it important that her MSc students have gained an international experience period abroad. The main goal of the TU/e Graduate School is that every student that graduates with a Msc degree has an international experience.

This international experience can be obtained by doing a mobility period at one of the partner universities abroad, conducting an internship at a company, institute or university abroad or doing (part of a) research or graduation project outside the Netherlands.

You are interested in studying or doing an internship abroad? That is a great opportunity to get in touch with other languages and cultures. Studying or working abroad gives you the experience of how other countries will do that, so you will learn a lot of it. And of course you will meet new people from all over the world!

There is a 5 step plan to help you guide through the process, which you find on this website.

Good luck with making your choice!

Important note for International Students at TU/e:

The aim of the Graduate School of TU/e is that every MSc student graduating at TU/e has gained international experience.

International students at TU/e have already gained international experience since they have done part of their program abroad. Financial (grants, scholarships) and practical support is focused towards those that have not yet gained international experience.

TU/e students who are eligible to pay the statutory rate tuition fee, i.e. who do not pay the 'high' institute rate tuition fee, can apply for mobility funds for their internship/exchange abroad.

Open Hour Going Abroad

Every Tuesday from 15:00 till 16:00 ESA organizes an open hour for students with questions regarding going abroad. Do you have questions about grants, scholarships, visa or insurance or do you want to know more about studying abroad, you can come by without an appointment. Please report at the ESA Service Desk.

Especially for students that will go abroad for study or internship we have a special Facebook group. In this group you can contact fellow students that are going abroad as well or who have already been there.
