Another website for external grants is Scholarshipportal Europe for study, internships and exchange.

The European Funding Guide is also a useful source for finding grants and scholarships for study/internship abroad.

Letter of recommendation

Some external funding requires an additional statement/advice from a student’s dean. TU/e students can contact mrs. P. van de Vorst for more information and the required letter, when applicable.

VSBfonds Scholarships 2020

The VSBfonds gives students the opportunity to go abroad after completion of their Bachelor or Master study in the Netherlands for an additional study or research at a university abroad. The scholarship is at maximum 10.000 euro and is a complete gift.

Requirements: Students must have completed their study with good results. They have to be highly motivated and have made a detailed plan of their study or research project, for a period of at least 3 months and with a maximum of 24 months.

The additional study or research project has to be a specialisation or broadening of the initial completed study. The applicant may not be older than 29 years of age at the moment he/she will go abroad.

Students who want to apply for the VSBfonds Scholarship 2018 have to be graduated between March 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020. The additional study may not start earlier than July 1, 2020.

Nationality: the VSBfonds scholarship is only available for students with the Dutch nationality, or in case of a different nationality; with a very strong bond with The Netherlands.
