Expiration date recordings in O365 Teams will change as per June, 3, 2022

Previously, meeting recordings were stored on the Microsoft Stream. Since October last year this has changed to SharePoint and OneDrive. These platforms have limited capacity, we want to avoid meeting recordings taking up all available space. That is why the Collaboration and Office Support team is introducing a default expiration setting for all newly created Teams Meeting Recordings as per June 3, 2022, as announced earlier. This new feature will not impact recordings already stored

For students the newly recorded meeting will be automatically deleted 30 days after they are recorded. Students will not be able to adjust the expiration date and will need to download the file to a local folder before the expiration date of 30 days if they would like to keep the recording.
