A Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection provides a secure connection to the TU/e network. When you study off campus, you need a VPN connection to access systems certain TU/e systems.
Setting up a VPN
To set up a VPN on your laptop, first go to your laptop settings. Then add a new connection. Not sure how to do this? Download the instructions for your operating system or see the FAQ on the Selfservice Portal.
Using a VPN
With a VPN connection you can do the following off campus:
- download software or make use of software for which TU/e has a license
- share files in the TU/e network
- send print jobs
- consult academic publications
- access the university library catalog
