Will I be reimbursed for the tuition fee?

Bachelor and master students only pay tuition fees for the months that they were actually enrolled. Based on the selected termination date, your entitlement for reimbursement of the tuition fees already paid will be determined.

If you paid the tuition fees in full at the start of the academic year, you are entitled to reimbursement of 1/12 of the tuition fees for every month left of the academic year following the termination of your enrollment.

For example: you would like to terminate your enrollment as of December 1 because you will complete your final study component in November. This means that you submit your request for termination of enrollment via Studielink on November 30 by 23:59 at the latest. ESA terminates the enrollment once the examination date has been registered in Osiris and uses November 30 as the termination date. This means you will not be enrolled in the months December to August (9 months), and you will be reimbursed 9/12 of the paid tuition fees.

In the event that you pay the tuition fees in installments, your reimbursement will be determined based on the enrolled months and the amount you have already paid. If you have paid too much, this sum will be reimbursed.

If you submit a request for termination of enrollment as of July 1 or August 1, you are not entitled to reimbursement of tuition fees.
