Will I be reimbursed for the pre-master's fee?

Pre-master students are not entitled to reimbursement (with the exception of the situations outlined below). The pre-master fee is based on the number of ECTS credits in your pre-master's program, not on the number of months for which you were enrolled. 

A pre-master's fee will only be reimbursed in part in the following situations:

  • When you are unable to continue your pre-master's program due to personal circumstances. Make an appointment with the student counselors so that they are aware of the situation and submit a request for termination of enrollment via Studielink, please mention this is due to personal circumstances. It will then be possible to reimburse part of the paid fee. The reimbursed sum reflects the number of study credits for the courses you were yet to take.
  • If you decide not to continue your pre-master's program in the same month as you started it. This means that for the September intake, you submit a request for termination of enrollment via Studielink on September 30 by 23:59 at the latest; and for the February intake, you submit a request for termination of enrollment via Studielink on February 28 by 23:59 at the latest. You will then be reimbursed the paid fee minus the value of 5 credits.

In the event that you meet the aforementioned conditions and are therefore entitled to a reimbursement of part of the pre-master's fee, you will be reimbursed within eight weeks of the confirmation of your termination of enrollment (you will receive a message via Studielink). The sum will be transferred to the bank account number that you provided when you submitted your request to terminate the enrollment via Studielink.
