Study periods, internships and research activities abroad

The Graduate School is stimulating that master students obtain international experience. The experience of cultural differences and working in an international team are deemed important for personal development. International experiences can be obtained in the context of

  • participating in the research activities of another university,
  • doing an internship at a foreign company,
  • taking courses at a foreign university and/or
  • participating in international summer schools, seminars, etc.

Students are responsible for organizing any international activity. The department will support where possible initiatives but cannot provide any guarantees.

In case of limited capacity or financial support, priority will be given to students whose needs are highest. Available semester places for student exchange will therefore only be allocated to students who do not have any international experience yet. Of course, students can always arrange international activities without such financial support.

For detailed information, please contact the departmental international exchange coordinator.
