Immersive Reader in Canvas available to all students

Through Immersive Reader, you receive visual, grammatical and verbal reading support. The tool uses features such as ‘break into syllables’, ‘read text aloud’ and ‘increase spacing between lines and letters’ to make reading more accessible. 
 
Immersive Reader has been freely available in Canvas for some time and the tool could be activated by individual users through their user settings. More recently, Canvas has expanded the possibilities of this tool. From September 12, Immersive Reader will be automatically available on the relevant pages in Canvas for all students. These pages include Canvas Pages, Syllabus, Assignments (instructions only) and the course Homepage.
