The recently revamped TU/e Student Sports Center Eindhoven (SSCE) officially opened in the last week of August, just in time for the start of the 2024-2025 academic year.

The SSCE underwent renovation and expansion due to reaching its membership limit, currently at almost 14,000 members. Now spanning 12,500 square meters, it is 25% larger than before and can accommodate up to 18,000 users.

The fitness area, previously divided into three rooms, has been more than doubled in size, from 560 m² to 1250 m², to meet growing membership demand. The three old fitness areas have been transformed into a modern group exercise room, a cycling studio, and a pole fitness studio.

Additionally, a Body & Mind Studio, four new large changing rooms, and a new dojo for martial arts have been added.

For decades, the sports center has played a crucial role in the wellbeing of students and staff. With its new look, it will serve even more as a central meeting hub.
