Be prepared for travel disruptions due to public transport strikes next week.

Are you planning to travel to Eindhoven for your studies next week? Be aware that public transport strikes are scheduled for Tuesday, 10 September, and Wednesday, 11 September. These strikes may affect your commute, so it’s important to plan ahead.

Strike details (as currently available):

  • Tuesday, 10 September: City transport in The Hague, Rotterdam, and Amsterdam will be on strike. Buses, metros, and trams operated by HTM, RET, and GVB will not run between 04:00 and 08:00.
  • Wednesday, 11 September: Regional transport across the Netherlands will be affected. Buses, trams, and trains operated by Arriva, Transdev (Connexxion), Keolis, EBS, Qbuzz, and NS will not run between 04:00 and 08:00. Services will resume from 08:00 onwards. City transport (including HTM, GVB, and RET) will operate during these hours.

What you need to do:

  • Plan ahead: Keep an eye on the news and public transport apps and websites. Plan your journey in advance to avoid disruptions.
  • Check Canvas regularly: Regularly check your course information on Canvas. Any changes will be indicated there. If there is no notification, your course schedule remains unchanged.
