The Master track ‘Design Leadership and Entrepreneurship’ supports the development of future professional design leaders and design entrepreneurs for the rapidly developing Creative Industries sector where creativity and innovation play a central role.
Real-life case studies and guest lectures from the Creative Industry will support your career development. And your competence development supports the creation of strategic value of (technologically advanced) design in creating innovations relevant to society.
In addition to this, you do not only learn how design and design thinking can help create and manage entrepreneurial (technological) innovations, but you also learn how the Creative Industry can make real impact for companies, users and markets in societal contexts. Ideally, your company or consultancy is started during the Master within a safe environment. You learn about production, implementation or change/transformation processes, and could acquire your first funding, projects or clients during your Master program.
The Final Master Project can include a business plan, an effective crowdsourcing campaign, and/or the implementation of a change/transformation in a company or organization.
After the master program you can apply to join a company in the Creative Industry such as VanBerlo or Studio Roosegaarde, set up your own design consultancy or start-up, or start working as a designer or innovator in a non-industrial company or organization such as a municipality or NGO. Consider innovative start-ups from our alumni such as 3D Hubs, Smart Goals or Studio Tast or successful design consultancies such as Unit 040, Afdeling Buitengewone Zaken, Morgenmakers, or BMD Studio.
