Interdisciplinary CBL

Explore Interdisciplinary Challenge-Based Learning at TU/e

At TU/e, we are innovating education to prepare you to become an engineer of the future. A key part of this is the integration of Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) into our curriculum.

In CBL courses, you will work in interdisciplinary teams on real-world, open-ended challenges provided by institutes, industry partners or NGOs. These challenges are designed to help you develop essential competencies for the engineer of the future: an entrepreneurial mindset, creative systems-level thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines.

Whether you are a Bachelor’s or Master’s student, there are several opportunities to enrich your education through interdisciplinary CBL electives. These courses are available at TU/e, at several universities across the Netherlands, and within several European partner universities.

Below, you’ll discover a variety of programs, projects, and challenges tailored to your interests, along with detailed information about their requirements and opportunities for both Bachelor’s and Master’s students
