Students with a University (WO) bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent meet the criteria for admission to the CSE Master program and therefore do not need to follow the pre-master program. For students with a deviating bachelor from TU/e, there are 10 courses they need to follow to be admissible.
In some cases, a similar course from the student’s own department can count to meet these requirements.
Course code | Course name |
---|---|
2WBB0 | Calculus variant 2 |
2IT60 | Logic and Set Theory |
2IT80 | Discrete Structures |
2IL501 | Data Structures |
2DRR00 | Linear algebra and applications |
2IP90 | Programming |
2IRR002 | Software Design |
2ID503 | Datamodelling and Database |
2IRR904 | Automata and Formal Languages |
2IRR505 | Statistics and Machine learning |
1 Passing 2IT80 is an entrance requirement for 2IL50. Ideally, also the follow-up course 2ILC0 Algorithms is followed.
2 Passing 2IP90 is an entrance requirement for 2IRR00.
3 Passing 2IT60 is an entrance requirement for 2DI50. The course JBI050 Data Management for Data Analytics is a suitable replacement for 2DI50.
4 Passing 2IT60 is an entrance requirement for 2IRR90.
5 The course 2IIG0 Data Mining and Machine Learning is a suitable replacement for 2IRR50.
TU/e bachelor students have the following possibilities for satisfying these requirements:
- The courses can be taken as electives during the student's current non-CS TU/e bachelor.
- When a TU/e bachelor is obtained and a maximum of 6 out of these 10 courses is left, the student could follow them as a pre-master program.
- When a TU/e bachelor is obtained and maximum 3 out of these courses left, the student could follow them as homologation courses as part of the master program.
Non TU/e bachelor
Students with a University (WO) bachelor from a Dutch university other than TU/e might also be eligible for the pre-master. The same guidelines listed above apply.
This page is meant as a guideline. The final decision about a student’s admission to the master or pre-master is made by the Admission Committee.
