If your enrollment is terminated at your request, this will impact the following:
- Student travel product
- Student grants and loans
- Notebook regulation
- TU/e account expires; register for Almuniportal
- Issued proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC) no longer valid
From the 1st of the month following the termination of enrollment, you are no longer entitled to a student grant or a student travel product. In order to avoid incurring fines, you will need to cancel these yourself via DUO, by the deadline set by DUO. More information is available on the DUO website. TU/e is obliged to forward examination dates and information on (termination of) enrollments to DUO.
If you have a TU/e notebook, you need to hand in your notebook to LIS Services/Student within 5 working days of the date of termination of enrollment. More information is available on this page: Notebook regulation – termination of your studies.
Once your final examination is registered in Osiris you will automatically receive a welcome email from the Office for Alumni Relations. From that moment you can use the link in the e-mail to sign up to the TU/e Alumni Portal. Once you have signed up. your student email address will automatically be extended by 1 year.
Please note! If you do not sign up to the TU/e Alumni Portal, your TU/e account will expire 42 days after the date of termination of enrollment, and you will therefore no longer have access to your TU/e email address or the files saved in your TU/e account. We recommend making a back-up well in advance. For more information on the TU/e Alumni Community, please visit: www.tue.nl/alumniportal.
In the event that you are enrolled at another higher education institute based on a proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC), which was issued by TU/e for the enrollment that you would like to terminate having obtained your degree, the BBC is no longer a valid means of payment for the full academic year at this second institution. The BBC will be adjusted for the months that you were enrolled at TU/e, and we will inform the other higher education institution of the adjustment. This higher education institution will contact you regarding payment of the remaining tuition fees.
