Overview

Overview

The CSE curriculum consists of advanced courses on a broad range of topics, including algorithms, databases, formal methods, internet of things, data mining and machine learning, artificial intelligence, process analytics, security, (embedded) software engineering, system and software architecture, and visualization. These courses are taught by lectures who are active researchers on these topics.

The program is designed to give you an overview of all research areas and allow you the opportunity to specialize in the field of your choice. To accommodate this the program allows you a large amount of freedom in selecting your courses, which together constitute 2/3 of your program (80 credits) plus a 40 credits graduation phase (preparation for graduation + graduation project) that can be completed either within the university or with an external organization. In both cases you will be supervised by one of our researchers. The Study and Career Orientation Program (SCOP/e) that is part of your program aims to help you make choices as well as introduce you to the network of researchers in the field of Computer Science.
