Career activities

MyFuture

The TU/e has implemented the so called “MyFuture Activities” system. These activities are career orientational activities which you as a student can attend. These range from lunch lectures to case contests to company visits and are aimed at giving you as a student a clear overview of where you can work and what you can do when you are finished with your studies. Please use this opportunity to experience what companies will be interested in you as an engineer. Our university aims for a strong collaboration between education and companies.

Types and number of Activities

To complete your bachelor, Student from generation 2020 and onward will need to have participated in a sufficient amount of MyFuture Activities to obtain a value of at least 7 (code SMFA00 in your exam program). The MyFuture Activities kick off with the first-year excursion (valued as 2 MyFuture Activities). The remaining five can be obtained by participating in MyFuture Activities of your own choice (check myfuture.tue.nl).

Different career activities yield different values of MyFuture Activities. These values range from 1 to 3, with a higher value given to activities that either take longer, are more detailed or both. Click on the image to enlarge it and check the myFuture values per type of activity. If you have any questions, please contact your study association or academic advisor.
