Project description

Currently, cardiovascular disease is responsible for 22% of all deaths in the Netherlands [1]. Heart disease can manifest in various forms, including coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, viral infections of the heart muscle, and arrhythmias. While medication can be effective in some cases, it often falls short for advanced heart conditions. Thus, there is a pressing need to develop systems that can serve as diagnostic tools or treatments for heart diseases. Additionally, proposals and designs aimed at improving the quality of life for these patients are highly valued. To help you in the development of your solutions, you will have the opportunity to meet with a cardiologist who will provide insights into the challenges faced by their patients. You will also present your innovative solution to a group of experienced medical company CEOs, who will offer guidance on transforming your idea into a marketable product. Overall, this project aims to stimulate your creativity in addressing a critical health issue with an innovative solution.
