The evaluation results of Q2 have been discussed with the Director of Education and a delegation of the Educational Committee. The results will also be discussed with the Dean of the Bachelor Program during the regular bi-annual progress meeting.
Bachelor's Program
Thirteen courses were offered in Q2. For four courses the evaluation results demonstrated low student satisfaction on most aspects addressed in the questionnaire. These courses received an overall grade between 5.2-5.9. The other nine courses were graded positively to extreme positive on almost all aspects. Five of these courses received an overall grade of almost 8.5 or higher!
The responsible teachers of four courses are approached to discuss the evaluation outcomes, reflect on it and formulate plans for improvement. These plans of improvement will be shared with the Educational Committee and the Dean of the Bachelor College.
Master's Program
Six courses were offered in Q2. You were asked to express your satisfaction in an overall grade for each course. One course received an 8.8, three courses were rated between 7.2 and 7.6 and two courses received somewhat lower grades: 4.5 and 5.7.
After an in-depth analysis of the evaluation results it turns out that in Q2 points for improvement were only required for single courses, whereas in previous quartiles topics for improvement applied to all courses (e.g. the organization of courses, or assessments).
For the offer in Q2 it means that you were positive about all aspects of four courses and that two courses require improvement on several aspects. The responsible teachers of these courses are approached to discuss and reflect on the evaluation outcomes and to come up with a plan of improvement. These plans of improvement will be shared with the Educational Committee in due time.
