Information for incoming exchange students (courses at TU/e)
On this page you will find instructions and a manual for your online application process for an exchange program (courses) at TU/e. Follow the below steps to start your international experience application process at Eindhoven University of Technology.
Step 1 – Nomination at TU/e by the responsible exchange coordinator of your home institution
Please note that you first need an official nomination of your home institution at the TU/e department/program before you will receive the link to the application form in Mobility Online from the TU/e departmental exchange coordinator.
The departmental exchange coordinator has all necessary information available to help you with your orientation. Which steps to follow, how to gather all necessary information and of course, which courses you can select as an exchange student at TU/e. All departmental contact information and links to specific departmental information can be found at the bottom of this page.
Step 2 – Download the instructions for applying in Mobility Online
After you have received the link to the application form in Mobility Online from your departmental coordinator, you are ready to apply for an exchange at TU/e in Mobility Online. Please download the user manual on how to apply in Mobility Online.
Step 3 – Apply for courses abroad in Mobility Online
After your completed registration in Mobility Online is approved, you will be able to fill in the courses you would like to follow at TU/e. The departmental coordinator will provide you with information on the courses you will be able to take. Please contact your departmental coordinator if you need further assistance.
Step 4 – All communications via Mobility Online and departmental coordinator
Now that you have applied for courses abroad in Mobility Online, all instructions and communications will take place via Mobility Online. At each step in the process you will receive detailed information on how to proceed to the next step in the process. Please feel free to contact your departmental coordinator if you have any questions. The link to the website of the departments and contact details can be found below.
Step 5 – Applying for visa and housing for exchange period at TU/e via Mobility Online
Once your exchange is arranged and formalized in Mobility Online, you will be able to apply directly for housing* and/or assistance with arranging visa when required within the Mobility Online system as well. In your workflow you can see the status of your application. All the necessary forms for application and the documents to complete are integrated in the Mobility Online system.
*Please note that you can only apply for housing if you stay a full semester.
