Welcome to the online Education Guide of the master program Artificial Intelligence & Engineering Systems (AI&ES) of Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e).

This online Education Guide contains information about the study program of the master AI&ES within the TU/e Graduate School as well as regulations and various types of practical study information. The information applies to the academic year of 2023-2024 and it is updated regularly throughout the academic year.

You will receive automatically all the announcement published on the page, and the relevant module.

Introduction master program AI&ES

The NVAO accredited master program AI&ES in 2021 as an unique program that responds to the industrial, societal, and academic needs to apply artificial intelligence to solve engineering problems in an integral way. Students follow an exciting, high-quality program based on TU/e’s strong educational and research programs. The close collaboration between TU/e and companies in the high-tech Brainport region also warrants a strong connection between education and industrial applications. 

The master program AI&ES is embedded in the TU/e Graduate School, which unifies all graduate programs (MSc, EngD and PhD) at TU/e. The Graduate School encourages the broad development of students, educates engineers who can contribute to technological solutions to solve major challenges in today’s world. Moreover, it emphasizes the application of research in education and prepares students for a professional career in the engineering practice.  

The master program AI&ES is offered as a joint co-operation between 7 TU/e departments:

  • Biomedical Engineering  
  • Built Environment  
  • Industrial Engineering and Innovation Sciences

The department of Electrical Engineering is the leading department for the master program AI&ES.
